The issue of baby seats, child car seats or booster seats is an important topic for motorists and passengers. As a private hire taxi company, we adhere to slightly different rules to motorists who own their vehicle but as this is an area that matters to many of our clients, we do our best to keep up to date with all of the relevant laws and regulations regarding baby seats.
We know that further changes regarding baby seats come into effect in 2017 but you can rest assured that we will provide you with a service that keeps your child safe and comfortable. We also want to ensure you are happy and have peace of mind regarding the travel situation.
We comply with UK regulations regarding baby seats
The current UK legislation allows for children to travel in a taxi or private hire vehicle without using a child seat when there is no correct child seat provided. The child is required to travel in the rear of the car and if they are 3 years old or older, they should wear an adult seat belt. If the child is under the age of 3, they are not required to wear a seat belt.
This means that children can travel in a Sky Airport Transfer taxi without using a child seat but we understand the importance of safety and we know that peace of mind is important for many parents. If you are looking to ensure that your child travels in a baby seat, please inform us of your requirements and we will do everything we can to meet your needs.
